This depends on a lot, but here are some initial starting points.

In general a 4GB server works quite well for a small instance, although you
can decrease this perhaps to 2 GB in a real pinch. Using a VPS service like
Linode or Amazon is highly reccomended. There are also professional hosting
companies available on the DHIS2 web page which can take care of all of
this for you.

Should you choose to purchase your own hardware, of course a lot more is
needed (UPS, backup equipment, etc etc)
