Re: Interested in DHIS 2
Hi John and Faith,
You do not necessarily need a developer to get DHIS2 setup. You can
download the program your self, and we have attempted to create
comprehensive documentation to allow you to setup the system your self.
Perhaps the easiest way at the moment to create your own instance is with
the dhis2-docker project here (https://github.com/pgracio/dhis2-docker) .
In many cases, it may be useful to engage of on the members of our experts
community (https://www.dhis2.org/expert-community) to assist you with your
implementation, but it is by no means a requirement. Generally, not
"anyone" can do it, but it helps if you have a person who knows SQL and are
comfortable working with data formats like JSON and XML. Knowing a
scripting language like Python or NodeJS may be required for more complex
setups.
To answer your question about a demo that does not reset at night, the
answer is no, not that I know of. In general, it would be better that you
establish such a system yourself.
Generally, inquiries should be directed to our users list
https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users
which is also searchable here
http://dhis2.github.io/dhis2-docs/
Hope this helps to get you started and feel free to become a part of the
community.
Regards,
Jason
