Message #00398
[ANN] Pyflakes new maintainer
Hello,
I am pleased to accept the offer of Jean-Paul and the Divmod team to take
over the maintenance of Pyflakes.
Thank you Glyph, Jean-Paul and the other members of the team for building
the succes of Pyflakes.
I will strive for the same level of quality which does the reputation of
the Divmod's projects.
The plan for the short-term is to bring the Python 3 support into the
trunk, and to release it with the few fixes available as soon as possible.
The merge proposal is already available for review:
https://code.launchpad.net/~florent.x/pyflakes/989203-python3/+merge/144668
Now the repository has an official mirror on Github:
https://github.com/pyflakes/pyflakes
It provides automated tests through Travis-CI, and it is something asked by
some contributors as well.
However due to technical limitations the mirroring is in the other
direction.
It does not affect the contributions: the merge proposals are still
accepted in Launchpad.
Of course, I welcome the previous committers of Pyflakes to join the
~pyflakes-dev team if they are interested to take part in the development.
