[Bug 268288] [NEW] "move to" action locks up GUI when moving files to external hard drive
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
When using the "Move To..." action to transfer large-ish files to a
mounted external HDD, Do freezes and is unresponsive while the files are
being moved. In addition, since the Do window is up the entire time that
the file/s are being transferred, all other programs are unresponsive as
well, and you can't do anything while the files are being moved. I would
assume that this would also be the case for "Copy to".
Would it be possible to just invoke the GNOME dialog and close Do, so
that a) progress could be monitored and b) the entire GUI wouldn't lock
up? Thanks!

Importance: Medium
Status: Confirmed
