I haven't confirmed this, but I see what would be causing this.  Flickr
plugin should use a thread pool or X number of worker threads, instead
of creating a new thread for every single picture that needs to be
uploaded.

Are you capable of building from source?  It would be nice if you could
do some testing for me when I start working on this (hopefully this
weekend or next).
