I see, thanks. I think the package you describe is xfdesktop4 whose name
in the .desktop file is "Desktop" only. So if you search for desktop in
Software Center, you'll find it in the presented list.

You found the pcmanfm package, which provides Lubuntu's file manager and
desktop preferences tool. The latter has a .desktop file with the name
"Desktop Preferences". ;)

I can't tell if one or both should modify their .desktop files to
prevent this confusion. Forwarding this bug report to the maintainers of
respective package by changing the affected package.
