[Bug 1606045] Re: The link for the new release documentation for desktop is invalid.

Thanks for reporting that!

The ubuntu-docs maintainers don't handle www.ubuntu.com, though, so I
filed this ticket:

https://github.com/ubuntudesign/www.ubuntu.com/issues/776

Still keeping this bug report open to keep track of the issue.

** Bug watch added: github.com/ubuntudesign/www.ubuntu.com/issues #776
   https://github.com/ubuntudesign/www.ubuntu.com/issues/776

** Package changed: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) => ubuntu-docs

** Changed in: ubuntu-docs
       Status: New => Confirmed

Title:
  The link for the new release documentation for desktop is invalid.

Status in Ubuntu Documentation:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/thank-you?country=US&version=16.04.1&architecture=amd64
  On the above page, there is a section that says:

  Ubuntu desktop guide

  Read the official Ubuntu desktop documentation.

  The link there is:
  https://help.ubuntu.com/16.04.1/index.html

  The actual link is supposed to be:
  https://help.ubuntu.com/lts/ubuntu-help/index.html

  That's all, Thanks
