[Bug 1609119] [NEW] login session timeouts but unable to reactivate with keyboard or mouse input

Public bug reported:

I recently upgraded my Ubuntu to the latest version:

Description:	Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS
Release:	16.04

When I log in and then let the screen be turned off by inactivity (currently set for 5 minutes WITHOUT screenlock) I am unable to resume the session, that is typing on the keyboard or moving the
mouse does not return my login to an active session.

** Affects: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
