[Bug 1688330] Re: 17.04 update causes failure to open "System Settings..."

 

You filed a bug against the Ubuntu documentation, and your problem is
not about that, so closing.

I recommend that you ask for support at a suitable resource, for
instance <https://askubuntu.com>. If you do, you may want to open a
terminal window, run the command

unity-control-center

and include whatever it outputs to the question you ask.

Title:
  17.04 update causes failure to open "System Settings..."

Status in ubuntu-docs package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Running 17.04 the Software Updated says the SW is up-to-date.
  As far as I can tell, the last SW update caused this problem.
  Using the "gear icon" in the upper right corner I cannot 
  open "system settings..." or open About this computer. 
  I can select help or "shut down..."
