[Bug 1688330] Re: 17.04 update causes failure to open "System Settings..."

 

If I had been sure that the problem is a bug, and not caused by
something you did, I might have changed it to an appropriate package.
But your description does not give any evidence for this being a bug.
That's why I suggested that you seek support at first hand to figure out
the nature of the problem - and solve it for you. Then, if there proves
to be some kind of reproducible bug, which needs developer involvement,
you are encouraged to file a bug report.

Title:
  17.04 update causes failure to open "System Settings..."

Status in ubuntu-docs package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Running 17.04 the Software Updated says the SW is up-to-date.
  As far as I can tell, the last SW update caused this problem.
  Using the "gear icon" in the upper right corner I cannot 
  open "system settings..." or open About this computer. 
  I can select help or "shut down..."
