[Bug 1706316] Re: wrong bios

Well, I'm not an expert in the interplay between the intel bios and ubuntu.
But it would certainly have saved me a lot of troubles and time, if I from
the start had known that I shouldn't have used the latest bios in order
to get ubuntu to work properly. There is no information about this on the
intel page, which is very windows oriented.

Cheers, Jon

Title:
  wrong bios

Status in ubuntu-docs package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  Hi Ubuntu,

  I tried to install ubuntu:

  Intel NUC DE3815TYKE (G6YK423005CW  SA H27002-401)
  1) installation of Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS (GNU/Linux 4.8.0-58-generic x86_64), unstable
  2) upgrade of bios from 0019 to the latest one 0060, unstable
  3) downgrade of bios from 0060 to 0049, seems stable

Thus it is not correct when your installation guide tells that
the bios should be the latest one.

  Cheers, Jon
