[Bug 1795187] Re: Ubuntu Desktop Guide doesn't reflect ubuntu session
That's unfortunately true, most of the guide reflects vanilla GNOME. The
simple reason is a lack of manpower; we'd need more contributors for the
desktop guide.
But you make indeed a valid point.

Bug description:
the "getting started with GNOME" "introduction to GNOME" and "start
applications" sections of the desktop guide refer to how those things
are done in vanilla GNOME and not the Ubuntu customized session. the
instructions work, but they don't accurately demonstrate how the
Ubuntu session looks or how most people would use it.
