[Bug 1968757] Re: [UIFe] New icon still not present on Ubuntu Desktop Guide

An issue with the various reddish background banners is that everyone
seems to use something a little different for RGB. Examples: 233/84/20;
220/70/29; 208/86/48; 221/72/20 and so any logo that has a visible red
area around the white circle of friends part has a visible transition
against such a background. What is needed is a master 32X32 new circle
of friends part, with transparent background for these applications
(help.ubuntu.com, ubuntu forums, ask ubuntu, ...)

Anyway, I think we have a good enough solution for now. It should go
live on help.ubuntu.com in about 9 hours.

We'll wait for favicon.ico until the main site changes it, and then just
steal it.

Title:
[UIFe] New icon still not present on Ubuntu Desktop Guide

Status in ubuntu-docs package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
  To the release team:

This is actually a request for a Final Freeze exception. We would
simply like to replace a .png file with the old logo with a new .png
file with the new logo. Same dimensions.

While it's not of utter importance, it's a branding thing, and the
risk for affecting other parts of the system adversely is zero.

A new ubuntu-docs version is already in the jammy queue to win time.

  Original description:

When I press F1 to open Yelp and get help I still see the old Ubuntu
icon, not the new one as the rest of the system
