Title:
[63 new] Unicode 6.0/Ubuntu emoticons
Status in fonts-ubuntu package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
Unicode 6.0 is out, and this brings us the official smilie block:
http://www.unicode.org/press/pr-6.0.html
http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/Unicode-6.0/U60-1F600.pdf
a number of these official emoticon codepoints should map to the
Ubuntu emoticons published recently by the design team:
http://design.canonical.com/2010/10/ubuntu-emoticons/
http://design.canonical.com/brand/Examples/Emoticons/emoticons.svg
ideally this should be expanded and imported as additions into the
Ubuntu Font Family.
