Does not see such issue here with Firefox on 23.04 Mate desktop (all
installable 'proposed' packages installed, and system rebooted several
times since fonts-ubuntu 0.863-0ubuntu1 upgrade)

  bold font used now where it shouldn't

Status in fonts-ubuntu package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  The new font in lunar now makes apps use a bold font where it wasn't
  before, like for instance in rhythmbox in the music list etc, or
  firefox tab names, lauchpad "status/importance/milestone/" menus etc.
