[fmII] DOLFIN 0.5.5 released (Default branch)

 

This email is to inform you about the release of version '0.5.5' of
'DOLFIN' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can

The changes in this release are as follows:
Two new modules have been moved to the new codebase; both the
convection-diffusion solver and the linear elasticity solver are now
based on FFC/PETSc. Furthermore, the multi-adaptive ODE-solver has
been greatly improved. In addition, a lot of old code has been
cleaned out, a number of important bugs have been fixed, and the
previously broken curses interface is functioning again.

Project description:
DOLFIN is the C++ interface of the FEniCS project for the Automation
of Computational Mathematical Modeling (ACMM). It includes tools for
the solution of ordinary differential equations (ODE) and partial
differential equations (PDE). It is developed at the Toyota
Technological Institute at Chicago and the Chalmers University of
Technology.
