Hi Dave,

the form language and detailed instructions for compilation of
variational forms is available in the FFC user manual, which can be
found on

    http://www.fenics.org/docs/

and also in the FFC source distribution in the subdirectory
doc/manual/ (ffc-user-manual.pdf).

In particular, see the chapter called "Form language".
