I think we're done. We can polish a bit more, but we could use these
results if we want. It would be interesting to test the Newton variant
on stiff problems, but that can wait.

Are you satisfied with the "slit" results, or should we continue a bit
on that? It doesn't seem to run in the latest CVS for some reason, so
I can't see how it looks now..
