Is it possible to only generate Makefile.in and Makefile in a specific  
directory?
My problem is that changing Makefile.am and running scripts/preconfigure  
generates makefiles in all the modules. To avoid merging headaches I then  
revert all the modules but the one I wanted to generate for.
