I'm pretty happy now with the following classes:

   GenericTensor, GenericMatrix, GenericVector
   Matrix, Vector, Scalar

We need to make similar cleanup/consistency updates in all the
backends (but it's not critical).

Anyway, let's try not no add many more features and get a release
ready as quickly as we can. (And help out with editing the remaining
classes to match the interfaces exactly.)
