You shouldn't have to. The class VertexIterator takes a const Cell
argument:
VertexIterator(const MeshEntity& entity) : MeshEntityIterator(entity, 0) {}
This is at the bottom of Vertex.h.
Push it to sandbox/misc and I'll look at it.
