We could add:

  norm(const GenericMatrix&, std::string norm_type = "frobenius")
  norm(const GenericVector&, std::string norm_type = "l2")

That defaults to a certain norm, for Vectors and Matrices. This would then
work much in the same way as info() do today.

Are there other functions like this we could add?
