Yes, that needs some cleanup. I haven't given it any thought
though. Perhaps we should put everything into Function? It's confusing
when calls jump between files.

I think I had some good motivation for it when it was first
implemented but I don't see the point now.

Yes, but I don't know if that's possible without Hake. The Function
metaclass stuff needs to be split up into two classes (Function and
Expression).
