Dorsal supports Lucid Lynx (Ubuntu 10.04) out of the box. Doing a

bzr pull lp:dorsal
cd dorsal
./dorsal.sh

soon gets you a working FEniCS installation.[1]

The better news is that even this is not necessary.

Thanks to Johannes, Lucid has FEniCS as part of its package
repositories. All you really need to do is to look for it in the
"Software Center" and install it![2]
