There is a FIXME ;).

Is it necessary to have

  default BOOST_DIR=/opt/local
  default UMFPACK_DIR=/opt/local
  default CGAL_DIR=/opt/local
  default GMP_DIR=/opt/local

for Snow Leopard? I've found that I can remove most of these on other
platforms - CMake is able to find things without help. If not, we should
add /opt/local to the CMake search paths rather than have it in the
platform file.
