Is it possible to add an option which allows compressing the local signatures as well? I'm currently using duplicity to backup a server with about 15 million files which results in an about 20 GB large signature file. I know that compressing the signature file may decrease the performance but I would prefer spending a bit more CPU time than keeping such large index files.
