Thanks for your reply.

I do not see a way to set --num-retries through deja dup (I have also
tried to access deja dup configurations through dconf-editor but it
doesn't seem that there is a way to add duplicity options). Later I will
try to create a backup through command line and see what happen. I will
post the result.
