Converting duplicity from bzr to git

Hello all,

Following on from discussions here:
https://answers.launchpad.net/duplicity/+question/284247
https://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/duplicity-talk/2015-07/msg00033.html
and elsewhere, does anybody have any objection to me converting our bzr repository in Launchpad to a Git repository, still remaining on Launchpad at this stage?

My understanding is that most of the core developers would prefer to use Git over Bzr, but please tell me if that is not the case.
According to this:
https://help.launchpad.net/Code/Git
all of the features that I believe we use would be supported using Git in Launchpad (even back a long time ago when that was last updated).

I would be keen to hear from any developers that have actually used a Git repository in Launchpad.
>From other discussions, I think that a move to Gitlab may be a possibility, but converting to Git seems a sensible starting point regardless.
Kind regards,
Aaron
