Title:
Wrong Time Suffixes in Kiswahili
Status in “indicator-datetime” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Ubuntu tried to report things according to location and that is good. However, in case of time, it report it wrongly
For example 12h00 is noon and 16h00 is evening. Ubuntu report them both as noon (Alasiri) which is incorrect. Here is a correct list to the best of my understanding (Being a Guy from East Africa and Tanzania particularly the land of Kiswahili :))
I have tried to find best explanation in English
03:00am- 06:59am Alfajiri (Early in the morning)
07:00am-11-59am- Asubuhi (Morning)
12:00pm- 12:59 Alasiri (Noon)
01:00pm-3:00pm - Mchana (Afternoon)
04:00pm-06:59pm- Jioni (Evening)
07:00pm-11:59pm- Usiku (Night)
12:00am-2:59am - Usiku wa Manane (Late Night)
