This problem occurs with the 20130916.3 ubuntu-system image as well.  I
have to plug in after the boot process has started, or I run into

Bug description:
  I bootstrapped a maguro with the 20130905.1 cdimage-touch, and when it
  came up, the battery indicator showed a small red bar with a charging
  icon, even though the battery was full.  If I unplug it and plug it
  back in, it shows a full/charging icon.  If I boot up with it not
  plugged in, it shows the expected icons.
