  unity-panel-service crashed with SIGSEGV in
  g_type_check_instance_cast() from menu_item_is_activating() from
  close_in_idle()

Bug description:
  This occurred immediately on clicking an icon (skype) in the panel. I
  believe the menu started to open and then the whole panel crashed
  before it was possible to even hover over a menu item.
