[Bug 1229385] Re: Redundant Shut Down Options
Hi David,
Thank you for taking time to report this bug. This is really up to
Design on how they like dialogs, etc. to be presented to users. As
such, I'm subscribing Ayatana Design to this, so they can hopefully
weigh in on your opinion. I'm marking the Unity bug Incomplete since
there is nothing we can do until Design weighs in.
** Also affects: ayatana-design
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Incomplete

Title:
Redundant Shut Down Options
Status in Ayatana Design:
New
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
When ending a session, I get 4 options: log out, suspend, restart and
shut down.
Restart and Shut Down are redundant, because clicking them leads to a
dialog with the choice between Restart an Shut Down.
So, the menu entries should be reduced to: log out, suspend and shut
down is enough and more consistent.
