Title:
  System menu has disappeared (13.10)

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  I very recently upgraded to 13.10 from 13.04. All fine.

  Now the menu that is in the extreme top tight corner - containing
  shutdown, system updates is simply not present. I have yet to reboot
  to see if it comes back.
