Title:
unity-panel-service needs much RAM and runs slowely
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
The unity-panel-service is using a lot RAM (sometimes well over 700
MB) and is running really slow. Menus in the Globalmenu are not
opening at all or only with a huge delay. In any case all the menus
are becoming really sluggish.
Even got some people on high school coming and complaining about that
they're not able to use their menus anymore...
