[Bug 1238927] Re: [Ubuntu Touch] Icons not displayed correctly
This bug was fixed in the package indicator-messages -
13.10.1+14.04.20131029.1-0ubuntu1
---------------
indicator-messages (13.10.1+14.04.20131029.1-0ubuntu1) trusty; urgency=low
[ Ted Gould ]
* Adding a phone_greeter profile.
[ Lars Uebernickel ]
* im-application-list: unpack icon correctly An additional variant was
left by unpacking it the old way, which confused
g_icon_deserialize() on the menu-rendering side. (LP: #1238927)
* Protect against processes calling Register() multiple times Don't
unnecessarily reset the application's state if the same process
calls Register() more than once.
[ Ubuntu daily release ]
* Automatic snapshot from revision 395

Bug description:
Messaging menu items placed by the telephony service are not being
displayed correctly in the messaging menu.
After a debug session with Lars, we verified that the icon was being
correctly sent from the the application and arriving correctly on the
indicator-messages service.
According to Lars, the problem is that libmessaging-menu is packing
the icon in an additional gvariant, and then when unpacking indicator-
messages doesn't get the correct data.
