  Switching between laptop screen and external monitor looses window
  workspace placements

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  I switch quite regularly between a 27" external monitor and the
  internal screen on my laptop (14"); after switching either way, all
  windows end up in the same workspace - it would be nice if this could
  be handled a bit better with workspace placement being remembered
  during switching.

  This is more of an annoyance rather than anything else.
