[Bug 1211514] Re: Shutdowns fail to finish if laptop lid is closed before completely shutdown

 

The GNOME stack should be handling the suspend suppression.  If it's
not, that seems to be an issue with yet another undocumented
interface/assumption within the GNOME components.

Bug description:
  Only seen in a ubuntu (unity) session, others report gnome sessions
  Test case on laptop:
  Shutdown machine from session indicator, close laptop lid right after selecting Shutdown from pop up window.

  What should happen:
   machine should complete shutdown process

  What does happen:
   shutdown hangs until the laptop lid is re-opened, then it completes the shutdown
