[Bug 1198653] Re: It is not possible to drag & drop and pin icon to launch bar when auto-hiding is turned on
I have found that you answer is correct, I have ubuntu 13.04 on my
gateway, I turned off the auto hide then I was able to drag-and-drop
icons onto it. Thanks for that info.

Title:
It is not possible to drag & drop and pin icon to launch bar when
auto-hiding is turned on
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
When you have auto-hiding of launch bar turned on, you can not drag an
application from search, because when you just put mouse with icon
over the bar, it hides all the time and if you want to add it though,
you have to disable auto-hiding first.
