Removing the duplicate as it seems the original issue (bug 1239710) is
fixed. Using this bug to track new occurrences in trusty.

I just got this, using r34 (trusty).

<seb128> [11:09:45] Ursinha, well, in any case it seems like the service had an issue and timeouted, not a lot you can get now, if it happens again it would be useful to get a gdb stacktrace before the timeout

  Date/Time missing from indicators and welcome screen

Bug description:
  Sometimes the clock disappears from both the indicator and the welcome
  screen. I don't have much running, and its only been up for 2 hours or
  so.
