[Bug 1108765] Re: Locations in the menu updating every second is distracting
Even though the the priority for this is low, I'm in the process of
tinkering with the datetime formatting code now, so this is a timely
request.

indicator-datetime 12.10.2-0ubuntu3
1. Add multiple other locations to the menu.
2. Check "In the clock, show: Seconds".
3. Open the menu.
What you see: The time for every location shows the seconds.
This is repetitive and rather distracting.
I propose that times in other locations should show just the hours and
minutes, regardless of whether you've chosen to show seconds in the
menu title.
