Sorry this bug report got a bit distorted, Joe. I'm restoring your
original description.

** Description changed:

- A lot of applications using Indicator Application make up for the loss
- of the show-main-window-on-left-click functionality of the legacy tray
- by adding an menu entry to their tray menu that's often labelled "Show
- {Appname}". However, these menu items are not consistent, even though
- showing a window that was 'hidden in the tray' is a frequently used
- action. They're not always at the same place and don't always use the
- same naming convention. There is even a difference between the type of
- GtkMenuItem being used: some use a GtkMenuItem that can only show() the
- main window, other applications use a GtkCheckMenuItem for toggling the
- visibility of the main window.
