Title:
Timer should resume not reset on proximity out
Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
With the current implementation, it looks like the timer is reset
every time the pointer exits from the proximity area. This creates a
paradox because it makes the ephemeral notifications more persistent
the more the user interacts with the content underneath them.
Proposed solution:
- Pause the timer when the pointer enters in the proximity area
- Resume (not reset) the timer when the pointer exits the proximity area
