  bubble becomes blurry without composite

Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: notify-osd

  after the upgrade to notify-osd 0.9.15 I'm getting a blurry bubble if
  i select the bubble with the mouse pointer and then remove the pointer
  from the area so it can be draw again, this doesn't happen with
  previous version of notify-osd. note that I'm currently using a non
  composite manager (metacity) due to a crash.  I'm attaching an
  screenshot. thanks.
