  Notifications dont appear or disappear very quickly

Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  I have ubuntu 9.10 and i use compiz. The problem is that the notifications disappear very quickly sometimes or they dont appear. For example i can heard the sound of Emesene's notifications but the burble dont appear or disappear inmediatly, so i cant read it. The same for other kinds of notifications with notify osd (sorry for my bad english).
   
  I would be very grateful if you could help me.
