Title:
Notify OSD display problems on Dell Inspiron 1000
Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
the Notify OSD popup's are not see through on my computer. They are
click-through and display basically everything that's it's suppose to,
it just isn't pretty.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1000, Ubuntu 9.04 (jaunty-final), Mobile Intel
Celeron CPU 2.20GHz, 716 MiB Memory (32 MiB reserved for Videocard),
SiS 65x/M650/740 PCI/AGP VGA Display Adapter.
On Xubuntu 9.04 (jaunty-beta and jaunty-final), I was able to use
xfwm4's transparency settings, and transparency settings in both
xfce4-panel and gnome-panel, so I know my SiS card can take it.
If you cannot fix the transparency problem, at least have a back-up
style for less-than-able vidoecards so it looks pretty (like, black
with a 2px grey border).
