Title:
Notify OSD does not respect Unity's background color setting

Status in Ayatana Design:
  New
Status in “notify-osd” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Notify-OSD does not pick up the custom background colour value for
Unity. It uses the average background colour even when the user
specifies a custom background colour to be used in the Unity plugin
  settings of CCSM.

  Steps to reproduce:
  1) Open compizconfig-settings-manager and find the "Background Color" option
  2) Choose any color and/or opacity setting
  3) Enter this command: notify-send -i "$Test" -t 5000 --app-name "$" "$from Test" "$This is a test notification"

  What should happen:
The bubble's color and opacity matches that of the dash and launcher, thus providing a consistent look

  What happens instead:
The bubble's color and opacity take on the "chameleon" effect, ignoring the user's specified color settings

Workaround (Requires the use of third-party software):
  1) Follow the commands on this page: http://www.webupd8.org/2012/11/patched-notifyosd-with-close-on-click.html
  2) Open NotifyOSD Configuration
  3) Untick "Use Dash background colour..."
  4) Choose your own background color and opacity above and click apply

  Original description:
When selecting the color of the dash from compiz-setting-manager, notify osd still uses the background color opacity and not the color from the dash in unity precise
