Message #10389
[Bug 390508] Re: notifyOSD ignores the expire timeout parameter
No longer affects notify-osd?
When is someone with the authority and the ability going to wake up and
realize that this bug needs to be fixed, and the way to fix it is to
implement the expire_timeout parameter as specified.
There are plenty of specific cases pointed out in this report of users
and developers who require support for the expire_timeout parameter.
Failing to recognize their need is insulting; it sends the message that
Cannonical doesn't care.
For every one person who goes to the trouble of creating a launchpad
account and posting a comment on a bug report, how many give up and
assume nothing can be done? How many stop using Ubuntu? How many stop
using Linux?
