[Bug 1291086] Re: Should only list running players in the greeter
Yes, I think we should.
I assume players should be visible in the sound menu on the lock screen
but not activatable, regardless of whether they are running. We don't
ever want windows popping up on the lock screen. Is an insensitive
"Rythmbox" menu item right above sensitive playback controls too
confusing?
Do we trust players to implement MPRIS correctly and only open windows
when "Raise" is called?

Status in “indicator-sound” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Using the new unity lock screen, indicator-sound lists the same players entries as the user session.
The list should probably be limited to running ones, to avoid having anyone able to start new softwares from a locked screen
