This is already in the spec: the music player sections should be present
"Whenever you are logged in (that is, not in the standalone installer
session or at the login screen)". So at the lock screen, the music
player sections should not be present at all.

Is there any problem with using the same profile for the lock screen as
for the login screen?

Status in “indicator-sound” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Using the new unity lock screen, indicator-sound lists the same players entries as the user session. 
  The list should probably be limited to running ones, to avoid having anyone able to start new softwares from a locked screen
