[Bug 1291571] Re: Locking while a window is in fullscreen results in lockscreen being nearly invisible

This bug was fixed in the package unity - 7.1.2+14.04.20140313-0ubuntu1

  * When the lockscreen is locked, force paint it on top. This isn't the
perfect fix, but it a lot safer of a fix. (LP: #1291571)
  * When we are about to LockScreen(). Hide the Dash/Hud if an overlay
    is open! (LP: #1291383)
  * Clear the tooltips when going into the lockscreen. (LP: #1291503)
  * Cleartool tips when entering alt+tab mode. (LP: #1285889)
  * If the switcher is open when going into lockscreen, hide it! (LP:
    #1292225)

Title:
Locking while a window is in fullscreen results in lockscreen being
  nearly invisible

Status in Unity:
  In Progress
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
When the screen is locked while a window is in fullscreen, the
lockscreen is nearly fully transparent, like shown in the attached
  screenshot.

  Steps to reproduce:
  * Make a window fullscreen (e.g. your browser)
  * Lock the screen using the keyboard shortcut

A normal user wouldn't even notice the screen is locked, it looks more
like the UI froze while locking (that's what I thought too, until I
tried if I could still enter my password).

<!-- I sincerely apologize for the following -->
  <rant>
Seriously, I appreciate the work done here and love the new look, but this is the 6th bug I found in the new lockscreen (the screenshot also subtly shows this fact). I don't think the new lockscreen can be shipped as it is, not with that much usability/security issues. I know it's in proposed, but since UI freeze is tomorrow and final freeze is less than a moth away, I feel the need to voice my opinion on this.
